ENERGY OF AN ATOM
Atomic Energy. With the help of this article, you can understand the role of atomic energy on earth by humans being, how humans profitably make atomic energy not only in the means of currency but also by increasing their national power. We use atomic energy even in the field of electricity and on some missions (military purpose).
BEGINNING Atomic energy is originated by Ernest Rutherford in the year 1903. It is the total energy carried by an atom, so we called it as atomic energy whereas nuclear energy is the total energy carried by a nucleus of an atom, these energies are similar to each other. From time-to-time changes are made in energies like from
1895–1945 atomic radiation, nuclear fission developed in which from 1935 to 1945 the focus was on the development of the atomic bomb. After 1945 focus was changed to use atomic energy in generating electricity. From 1956 new technologies were introduced in the nuclear power plants.
SOURCE OF ATOMIC ENERGY There are two processes that are related to each other nuclear fission and nuclear fusion but the path of these two processes is different. The Source of atomic energy is related to nuclear fission. In nuclear fission splitting of an atom takes place by which energy is released in the form of heat this energy is the source of atomic energy and this whole process occurs in the nuclear reactor.
Why it is called atomic energy- It is the energy released which is an insignificant amount due to the splitting of atomic nuclei, it is also distinct from the energy involved in different chemical reactions. So, it is also known as nuclear energy. Here is the list of some countries that are generating the most nuclear power 1. USA 2. France 3. Russia 4. South Korea 5. Germany 6. China
WORK When the use of atomic energy increases then an agency was set up for nuclear safety so that no countries could misuse this energy, this agency is known as International atomic energy agency (IAEA) This agency consists of member states and partner from worldwide to make safe, secure and peaceful use of atomic energy. IAEA work in bringing new technologies and make a globally strong nuclear safety and security framework. IAEA even given a nuclear power law i.e. The Statute of the IAEA authorizes the IAEA to promote the safe and peaceful uses of nuclear energy. The safe and peaceful use of nuclear energy in any given State can only be assured with the promulgation and implementation of an effective national nuclear legal infrastructure.
ACCIDENTS/INCIDENTS As our mankind is learning about the good use of atomic energy so some accidents happen. Some of these are happened due to design, negligence, improper training, the war between countries. In the year 2014, it has been recorded that more than 100 serious incidents and accidents happen due to atomic energy.

CONCLUSION Atomic energy has both sides good and bad. There are many agencies which are working in make better of this energy These agencies ate of two types according to me one type is that which introduces new technologies to it regarding electricity generation, a nuclear weapon for country’s safety and the second one that which look at the bad side of atomic energy means at nuclear terrorism, mankind. There are some countries like Australia which have prohibited nuclear power. Nuclear power is the best substitution for fossil fuels in terms of electricity generation as it is refined, affordable and abundant.
